Esty to Hold Town Hall Meeting in Waterbury
WATERBURY, CT – On Sunday, March 5, Congresswoman Elizabeth Esty (CT-5) will hold a town hall meeting at Naugatuck Valley Community College in Waterbury. Members of the public will have the opportunity to ask Esty questions concerning their community, the direction of the country, and Esty’s work in Congress.
“Democracy works best when everyone participates in the process,” Esty said. “Over the last two months, I’ve received a record number of phone calls, emails, and letters from residents all across our district. I applaud their engagement, and I’m excited to have this opportunity to hear in person about the problems our communities are facing and how we can work together to solve them.”
Members of Esty’s staff will also be on hand to help residents who have specific problems or concerns with a federal agency, including on matters related to Social Security, Medicare, immigration, or veterans’ benefits. Since taking office in 2013, Esty has brought back over $10 million in savings to constituents in central and northwest Connecticut.
The event will be held in the Mainstage Theater in the Fine Arts Center. For those parking and coming in the garage, please note the theater is located on the third floor.
