As a mother of three, I know the importance of investing in our education. During my time on the Cheshire Town Council, I fought for a budget that ensured strong public school funding. As your representative in Congress, I will continue to advocate for comprehensive education funding.

Energy and Environment

In law school I worked for the Natural Resources Defense Council and began my long-standing commitment to protecting our environment and shifting towards clean energy sources. Learn more about my views on this issue, and my work to protect our environment and secure a clean energy future.

I gave a gay rights speech when I was just 15 years old, and I’ve been a strong equality advocate ever since. I will continue to work hard to make sure that every American is treated equally and can live free from discrimination – no matter who they love or who they are.

Fiscal Responsibility

I support a budget that advances our priorities in central and northwest Connecticut, like creating good-paying jobs and expanding economic opportunity for our children. As your representative in Congress, I am committed to supporting responsible, long-term solutions that will balance the budget and reduce our national debt.

Gun Violence Prevention

Health Care

Accessible, affordable health care is essential for Connecticut families. As your representative in Congress, I will advocate for reforms that strengthen the Affordable Care Act and improve the quality of health care across the country.


During this fragile economic recovery, many families are struggling with high mortgage payments and threats of foreclosure. My office may be able to help.
